Hall of Famer John Clarkson is depicted on the offered 19th Century tobacco card issued by Allen & Ginter, graded at the EX 5 level by SGC. A clean, bright surface with a very nicely registered image of the 328-game winner highlights this collectible keepsake, which shows just a few flaws around the perimeter, likely from the factory cutting process. Clarkson is shown in a Boston Red Sox uniform, meaning this card was produced after the White Stockings sold him for $10,000 on April 3, 1888. To date, only 2 examples have graded higher at SGC.
