Lewis N. "Jumbo" Schoeneck was aptly nicknamed as his 6' 2" 225 lb. frame was considered massive for his time. Jumbo manages to squeeze into the frame on this 1887 Old Judge card, graded SGC 30 GOOD 2. As with other Old Judge cards in this auction, the card appears far superior from the front, well-framed with a bold image and above-grade endpoints that counteract the light discoloration and what looks like an erased pencil mark on the reverse. Not many Old Judge cards offer this much eye-appeal at this grade.
