Most likely issued in 1888 as evidenced by the 1887 copyright date and the "2d B. St. Louis" notation, the offered N172 Old Judge card pictures Hall of Famer Tommy McCarthy in a "sliding indoors" pose. Graded by SGC at the 70 EX+ 5.5 level, what's more important is the contrast and clarity of the image, which is about as profound and well-struck as possible. One of the nicer examples of a 19th century Hall of Fame card we've seen in quite some time!
