Among the cards considered to be his rookie issue, "The Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb appeared on this 1907 Dietsche postcard as a relative unknown that was just becoming a full-time starter that would end up winning the American League batting title. It was the first of 9 consecutive titles and a streak of 12 crowns over a 13 season span. But even with his career still in its infancy, the bio on the reverse that hails Cobb as "one of the most sensation players the game has ever had" proves that his reputation preceded him. Graded PSA 1 due to significant staining on the reverse and wear on the front, the image of the young Cobb is sublime and impressively well-focused for the time period. A wonderful example of Cobb collectors.
