Next up behind "the big four" in overall scarcity, the T206 Ray Demmitt St. Louis variation is a key piece for any collector trying to slay "the monster." Traded in December of 1909 from the New York Highlanders (the future New York Yankees), only Polar Bear-backed cards reflect the team change while the other ad backs, who likely already had the card printed, continued to show Demmitt as playing for New York. The presented card has rounded corners and a centering shift toward the top but offers impressive overall eye appeal. The reverse is very bright for T206s with the "Polar Bear" advertisement. This a great example of a lower-grade rarity that will fit into any serious collection.
