Like the fabled T206 White-bordered set of the same time period, the T205 release celebrates the era of early 20th-century tobacco cards in grand style, adding a shimmering gold perimeter that, while alluring, also proved susceptible to damage and put high-grade specimens at a considerable premium. The T205 set was initially a 206-card issue but several card variations, some of which have just recently been discovered, have pushed the total of the Master Set to 221 cards. The assembly of a complete Master Set is a monumental task, one that takes even the greatest collector years if not decades to complete, and that doesn't even account for condition!
