It's easy to see why the featured card in the T202 Hassan Cigarettes series is the most desired by collectors, offering lively examples of Hall of Famers Ty Cobb and Hugh Jennings that flank a central action shot of "The Georgia Peach" swiping a base. Noticeably clean, bold, and well-registered for the issue, the fantastic array of colors is bolstered by a bone-white border with strong centering and above-grade endpoints. The usual imperfections that tend to expose themselves on the deep red and green pigment surrounding Cobb, as well as the green and yellow surrounding Jennings, are virtually non-existent, with nothing more than trace flecks of print exhibited on Charles M. Conlon’s renowned black and white image in the center. With such precise registration, however, the image itself is accurate enough to distinguish every detail, from Cobb’s strained facial expression to the individual spikes on the bottom of both his and Jimmy Austin’s cleats. The reverse is blemish free with a gentle touch of typical discoloration along the seams and perhaps a very light smattering of print dust that is completely unobjectionable to the naked eye. The single most sought-after T202 issue offered in set-defining SGC 86 NM+ 7.5 condition.
