The 1914 Cracker Jack series is jam-packed with baseball immortals and Honus Wagner is right at the top of the list. A 40-year old in the twilight of his career when it was released, Wagner had 8 National League batting titles under his belt and a .340 career batting average at the time. While it's a very popular card due to his T206 example being, well unattainable to all but a few fortunate people, Wagner's 1914 Cracker Jack card has also become quite pricey of late in the mid to upper grades. This PSA 3 example is still in the financial wheelhouse of many collectors and features excellent framing and an above grade perimeter to compensate for the usual spotting and staining from the confectionery product. It may not carry the eye-appeal of the EX/MT and NM Cracker Jack specimens in this auction, but advanced collectors know it's one heck of a find!
