Graded MINT 9 by PSA. The featured keepsake hails as just 1 of 3 copies that has attained the superior assessment of MINT 9 by PSA which is remarkable considering that there have been 92 examples that have been reviewed by the Newport Beach based company. What is even more amazing is that there actually has been a PSA 10 GEM MINT copy of this card graded. "Maranville is the greatest player to enter baseball since Ty Cobb arrived," said Boston Braves manager George Stallings. "I've seen 'em all since 1891 in every league around the south, north, east, and west. He came into the league under a handicap--his build. He was too small to be a big leaguer in the opinion of critics. I told him he was just what I wanted: a small fellow for short. All he had to do was to run to his left or right, or come in, and size never handicapped speed in going after the ball." The featured relic explodes with superior color and an accuracy of focus that few Cracker Jack examples are encountered with. The centering is spot on in each direction and steps up with a near perfect rendition. The borders are a startling white suggesting that the encountered specimen most likely can't trace its coronation to a factory assemblage. The surface is nothing short of perfection revealing a perfect palate with no disturbances to be encountered. The reverse is a splendid eyeful of precision with a dark black inked bio set upon a bright opaque surface. A card that presents like a dream! MINT condition.
