One of the greatest pitchers in baseball history, Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander retired from major league baseball and joined the House of David barnstorming team as a player and manager from 1931-35. Known for its exceptional lineup and full-length beards (Alexander was the only member of the team not to sport a beard), the House of David entertained tremendous crowds in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Cuba. The featured card is a very rare postcard that shows Alexander as a member of the famed barnstormers and is graded SGC 3 but looks significantly stronger to the naked eye.
