Though he put up legendary numbers in the Pacific Coast League, Frank "Lefty" O'Doul also posted a career .349 average in 11 seasons in the majors, capturing two National League batting titles. O'Doul's credentials more that warrant his inclusion in the amazing 1932 U. S. Caramel set, and this PSA 8 specimen is one of 10 to grade NM/MT by PSA with none graded higher. The NM/MT to NM/MT+ corners help to offset the mild centering bias toward the northeast, while the deep red pigment of the backdrop, usually heavily littered with stray print, is far superior to most from the series.
