Pie Traynor never led the league in any of the Triple Crown categories but his .320 lifetime average and steady glove at third base earned him a ticket to Cooperstown. Paired with fellow Hall of Famers Kiki Cuyler and Max Carey, the 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates posted an astonishing .307 team batting average, helping them complete a 7-game victory over the Washington Senators in the World Series. Traynor is featured on this exceptional 1933 DeLong card, a PSA 8 beauty that is surpassed by just one other. The edges and corners truly stand up well to the advanced grade, as does the image registration. Characteristic with the glowing yellow backdrop, some faint traces traces of print are visible but in no way detract from the appeal of this high-end DeLong. Frankly, we've never seen a nicer example in the NM/MT category.
