Though a career .307 hitter, left fielder Joe Vosmik exceeded all expectations in 1935 when he batted .348 and led the American League with 47 doubles, 20 triples and 216 hits, finishing 3rd in MVP voting to Hank Greenberg and Wes Ferrell.
