Graded EX 5 by SGC, the offered 1933 Goudey gum card features Hall of Fame hurler Lefty Grove, 7-time AL strikeout leader and winner of exactly 300 games. One of the more aesthetically pleasing entries in the issue, the full-body image of the twirler is set against a gorgeous backdrop of grass and trees with a breathtaking blue sky pulling the whole image together. This example features above-grade corners and edges, and would most likely be in a higher grade holder if the centering were slightly more accurate.
