He never led the league in batting, but 2-time American League MVP Mickey Cochrane closed his 13-season career with a .320 batting average, an unheard of accomplishment at the time for a catcher. Pictured on his 1933 Goudey card, Cochrane is surrounded by a penetrating red backdrop, leading out to four very high-end NM corners. A more than capable specimen for the grade.
