The Diamond Stars baseball card set is an icon in the hobby, but even the most advanced collectors have never had the opportunity to get a first hand look into the production process that brought these cards to the depression-era public. This uncut sheet of 12 cards is a printer's proof, the second to last step in the process of producing the cards. All of the obverse color has been combined into what amounts to the finished product, with just the printing on the blank back reverse left to be added. Hash marks around the perimeter of the sheet provide the proper measurements for the cutting process and punch holes on the left and right sides allowed it to be bound with the other proof sheets to provide a full catalog of each step along the way. Every bit as colorful and vibrant as the sold cards, this sheet contains issues of Hall of Famers Luke Appling and Bucky Harris. Housed in a 15' x 13" frame with a glass reverse.
