One of just 8 to earn a grade of PSA 8 with none graded higher, this is a spectacular example of Bob Feller's 1938 Goudey card that closes out the coveted "Heads Up" set. Like just about any other set from that era and well into the 1960s, the first and last cards rarely survive without evidence of the dreaded rubber band leaving indentations and making specimens at this level almost unheard of. But advanced collectors that have settled for PSA 6 or have been fortunate enough to find a PSA 7, here's the chance to obtain a legitimate Set Registry buster! Perfectly centered on the toned canvas, Feller's photographed head and cartoon body are delivered with precise clarity, supported by four fresh endpoints that are NM/MT at minimum. The reverse boasts clean and bold green print on an evenly toned yellow surface. Other than the DiMaggio cards from this series, the Bob Feller card #288 is easily the most desirable at this grade level. Good luck!
