Joining Leaf as one of the first mainstream baseball card producers since 1941, Bowman Gum Inc. debuted a 48-card release in the spring of 1948 with the issue marking the arrival of many stars as "rookies" because it was their first appearance on a baseball card. This partial set is 15% EX/MT or better, 40% EX, 30% VG/EX, and 15% lower.
