If you've got a penchant for collecting the most iconic cards ever produced but not the financial backing to acquire them in world-class grade, this example of Mickey Mantle's timeless 1951 Bowman rookie card might be right up your alley. Imaged as a teenage up and comer, Mantle was being lauded by Casey Stengel as the heir apparent to Joe DiMaggio and was granted the horizontal format to introduce his arrival. As is often the case with the Mantle RC, this card is clearly shifted toward the top horizontal edge but it doesn't really take much away from the overall presentation. Offering deep, bold color, VG/EX or slightly above endpoints and an attractive overall appearance, this is a great way to add an attractive example of a truly significant card without breaking the bank. With Mantle rookie cards seeming to increase exponentially in price with each step up the grading ladder, you'd be wise to snap up this specimen with its multitude of appealing features.
