Hall of Famer Joe "the Jet" Perry was one of the first African-American stars of the NFL, and was named UPI NFL Player of the Year in 1954. He is pictured on the offered 1952 Bowman Large football card in spectacular colors with crisp detail amplified by a shimmering layer of original factory gloss. Were in not for a slight centering preference for the lower left, this one might have graded higher than the given assessment of PSA 8 NM/MT, and as of this writing, just two examples have graded higher.
