Unquestionably among the most important baseball cards ever produced and highly coveted by collectors from all walks of life, the 1954 Topps Henry Aaron rookie card shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to popularity and with it, price. The presented example has recently emerged from the PSA grading process with an assessment of EX/MT+ 6.5, though as you should be able to see from our high-resolution images, the overall visual appeal is far in advance of the technical evaluation. Colors are vivid and lifelike, offering a freshness not usually found on a 65-year old pasteboard. Both the portrait and the action shot of the legendary Hall of Famer are delivered with exquisite clarity and detail, enhanced by an ample dosage of original factory gloss. Centering is nearly perfect and the borders and susceptible pumpkin-colored backdrop are noticeably free of blatant stray print. What little chipping there is along the full bleed reverse edges is almost certainly a result of the factory cutting process, leaving us with the slightest of touches to the upper left corner as the only plausible explanation for keeping this one from a NM or even higher grade. A truly stunning rendition of Hammerin' Hank's rookie card, offered at the absolute apex of the opined technical assessment!
