After his iconic 1951 Bowman and 1952 Topps cards, the 1956 Topps card of Mickey Mantle is without question one of the quintessential cards in the entire hobby! Capturing Mantle leaping against the outfield wall of Yankee Stadium, who wouldn't be captivated by this alluring pasteboard? But 1956 was the year that the legend was born, completing a Triple Crown season of 52 homers, 130 RBI and a .353 batting average while capturing the first of his three American League Most Valuable player awards.
