With the exception of the legendary 1952 card, there is no more desirable Mickey Mantle card issued by Topps than his 1956 pasteboard. Slowly raising his production each year since breaking in to the bigs in 1951, Mantle put it all together in 1956 to deliver one of the greatest seasons in baseball history, a Triple Crown performance that included 52 homers, 130 RBI, .353 batting average and a unanimous selection for American League MVP. In addition to the 1956 Topps Mantle card being a reminder of "The Mick's" seasonal heroics, it's often considered by many to be Mantle's most attractive card. The magnificent delivery of the portrait and in-action shot on the horizontally formatted card, with it's dazzling assortment of bright color, speaks for itself. The featured item is graded PSA 8, graced with solid centering, four consistent NM/MT corners and a light rough cut, primarily along the horizontal top edge. If you've been looking to add a signature piece to your prized collection, consider this a strong PSA 8 worthy of a PSA Set Registry collection.
