Just like in 1954 when Bowman pulled the Ted Williams card from production because he had an exclusive contract with Topps, this 1959 Fleer card is similarly rare though this time it wasn't Williams but Red Sox GM Bucky Harris that was causing the issue as he was under contract with Topps. Collectors were then forced to write to Fleer to request the card in order to complete their sets. Relatively few exist in today's market and it's one of the toughest cards in the entire series to find in a PSA 9 grade. The presented cornerstone to the series boasts an immaculate image of "The Splendid Splinter" signing his $125,000 contract, supported by strong MINT corners and edges and marvelously accurate centering. A superior example that carries extreme weight for any collection on the PSA Set Registry.
