There's no shortage of star power in the 1960 Topps football series, but despite its clean, straightforward design, there are only 40 PSA 10 examples on record out of over 31,000 submissions. With such an alarmingly low rate of GEM MINT examples, it seems pretty clear that the next card to reach the top of the PSA grading scale will likely come from a fresh, unopened pack, maybe one of the packs in this BBCE sealed unopened cello box. Each pack contains 12 cards, and with 36 packs in the box, gives you 432 opportunities to break through on the PSA pop report. Imagine the thrill of scoring a prime example of Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, or any of the other superstar and Hall of Famers of the era. Of course, there are no guarantees, but we dare to dream and it is entirely possible. As was common when Topps ran low on supplies, the packs are sealed in the generic Trading Card Guild container that sports bright colors and little wear that suggests it was well taken care of and kept out of direct light for its over 60 years of existence. Rest assured that Steve Hart at Baseball Card Exchange has done a thorough examination of the box, verified its contents, and given it his seal of approval.
