If you think the 1967 Topps set has superior photographic quality, and yes it does, you really need to take a look at this 1968 Topps SGC 98 GEM MINT 10 example of Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente and maybe update your assessment. Once you're able to pull yourself out of a transfixed stare from that partly cloudy blue sky so bold that it makes you dream of a beach somewhere in the tropics, focus in on the image of Clemente, from the stoic expression on his shadowed face to the perfect black coloring of his left sleeve, changing subtly in shade with the cloth folds. All of the pigmentation on the front surface, and the yellow coloring on the back surface, are as bold and pack fresh as the day it was made. The outstanding centering and perfectly squared endpoints are the finishing touch that brings this one to the top of the SGC grading scale, a level that very few cards reach.
