Hall of Fame rookie cards continue to skyrocket in popularity among the card-collecting community, and aside from Mickey Mantle, there is no more significant post-war issue than that of Nolan Ryan. Issued during the penultimate year of the tumultuous decade known as the '60s, the Ryan rookie has seen over 7500 submissions to PSA and to date, just a single example has graded higher than the offered MINT 9 specimen. The vast majority of Ryan rookies are known to suffer from both centering and print problems, but this outstanding pasteboard has escaped both of those hurdles, showing astute placement on the canvas and a noticeable absence of readily visible stray print marks, even in the notoriously susceptible purple team circle. The image of Ryan, alongside Jerry Koosman who was no slouch himself, is crystal clear and bursting with vibrant color schematics, protected by a fresh-looking layer of original factory gloss. A light factory rough cut can be seen on the horizontal right edge, assuring the viewer that the card remains in its original factory state. The reverse of this magnificent pasteboard is also centered nearly perfectly, with no errant print marks in the yellow borders. If you've been looking for the perfect MINT 9 Ryan rookie to add to your world class collection, look no further, as this one is clearly among the cream of the crop!
