After tossing 24 interceptions in just 218 pass attempts while completing an abysmal 38% of his passes in his rookie season, there weren't too many collectors clamoring for Terry Bradshaw's rookie card. It certainly was looking like the #1 overall pick of the 1970 NFL draft was a bust, but once "The Steel Curtain" went into full effect, Bradshaw became known as a clutch quarterback who rose to the occasion in the playoffs, posting a 14-5 postseason record and four Super Bowl championships. Bradshaw's rookie appearance in the condition-sensitive 1971 Topps set makes high-grade examples difficult to find, and the offered PSA 9 example is one of over 3,500 on the pop report at PSA and just 19 others have achieved MINT status with just three graded higher. Perfectly centered with a clean, crisp image of the "Blonde Bomber" and top corners that really push the limits of GEM MINT, showing no more than a microscopic speck of chipping at the tips. The reverse is near-perfectly centered as well with deep black and yellow print on a blemish-free slate gay backdrop. Unquestionably high-end, even by the lofty standards required of a MINT grade.
