With all the talk of Tom Brady arguably supplanting Peyton Manning as the greatest signal-caller of all time, many football historians still hold on the idea that neither tops the list, that the honor still belongs to San Francisco 49ers gunslinger Joe Montana. Winner of four Super Bowl Championships, "Joe Cool" was putting up numbers that might be commonplace today but were blazing trails in an era where the West Coast offense was virtually unstoppable. And it's only fitting that such a rare talent as Montana should be represented with a rookie card that is equally as rare in PSA's top grade. One of the most highly-coveted rookie cards ever made, the '81 Topps Joe Montana card accounts for over 16,000 of the 45,500 total submissions to PSA for the entire set but less than 0.6% of all Montana RCs submitted come home with PSA 10 designation. The featured item could certainly stand as the marquee piece in most any football card collection, perfectly centered with GEM MINT endpoints and a blemish-free central image delivered with spot-on registration. You don't get many opportunities like this, simply because there aren't many out there!
