No other hurler in major league baseball history has had a career quite like Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley. A 20-game winner in 1978, Eckersley became a closer after 12 years as a starter, notching 390 career saves, a Cy Young Award, and an American League MVP award to go with his 197 career wins. A master of control, Eckersley walked just 7 batters in 131 innings over two seasons from 1989-1990. The presented game-used and signed jersey hails from Eck's MVP and Cy Young Award winning 1992 season when he was 7-1 with a league-leading 51 saves and a 1.91 ERA. Inside the front right tail is the Rawlings size 42 label and "Set 1 1992" team flag, with inscription of "Dennis Eckersley Cy Young MVP 1992" signed in black marker on both the front and back. A fantastic piece of baseball history! LOA from JSA, Mile High Card Company.
