With the exception of the Tiger Woods card that has hit the six-figure mark in a grade of PSA 10, there may not be a more coveted card produced for Sports Illustrated for Kids than the 1992 issue featuring soccer standout Mia Hamm. Offered here is a virtually perfect GEM MINT example of arguably the greatest female soccer player to take to the pitch. With all of the amazing athletes included in the set, some of which are Hall of Famers in their respective sports, the Mia Hamm card trails only the issue of Michael Jordan as the card most submitted to PSA in the series. Hamm's resume as a member of USA Women's soccer makes her the Babe Ruth of the sport. A superstar at the Unversity of North Carolina, Hamm won four National Championships and experienced just one loss in 95 games during her college career while leading the nation in both goals and assists in 1990. From 1987-2004, Hamm anchored the U.S. Woman's National Team, scoring a record-setting 158 goals in 276 appearances. Joining the team at age 15, Hamm was still the youngest player on the team five years later, when this card was produced. She won the Women's World Cup in 1991 and 1999 and took Olympic gold medals in 1996 and 2004. Unlike the Tiger Woods card though, this example is the one and only PSA 10 example on record.
