The New York Yankees are the most celebrated sports team in American history, and the 1927 "Murderer's Row" squad is the most famous of them all. Every historian dedicated to the team knows the names Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, etc. but few could come up with the name Pat Collins, who played the majority of the games at catcher. The featured game-used jersey was worn by Collins during that magical season, making it not only an amazing vintage gamer but a historic piece of baseball history. The inside collar has the hand-stitched name "Collins" in pink as the key identifier since names and numbers weren't used at the time. The jersey has the approval with a detailed LOA from expert Bill Henderson, outlining a very comprehensive description of the item that includes wear and alterations and is matched for consistency with the jerseys of Ruth and Gehrig among others, which can be seen in the five-page report online. His conclusion in the final statement speaks volumes, "I am fully satisfied that this jersey was worn by catcher Pat Collins of the 1927-28 New York Yankees." Are you ready to own a majestic piece of baseball history?
