A recent discovery of 1954 Mascot Dog Food cards has made it's way to Mile High Card Company, answering many questions about the series but opening the door to others. For instance, why is the Yogi Berra card the only one of the 11-card series to feature a horizontal format? Anyway, presented here is the Mascot issue of Yogi Berra, the second example known to exist as one was previously found and graded 1.5 by Beckett. This one is considerably better, and even at a judgment of 6.5 by PSA, the evaluation seems too conservative as the sharpness, centering, edges, and endpoints all seem to fall in line with NM to NM/MT standards. If the image looks familiar, that's because it matches the artist's depiction of Berra on his 1950 Bowman card. An incredible specimen!
