In 1961, the American League expanded into Los Angeles and Minneapolis, followed by the National League adding the New York Mets and Houston Colt '45s the following year. With four new teams in the league and Fleer chipping away at their market share, Topps rolled out a series of supplemental collections to keep their brand at the forefront of the industry. One of their most popular issues was the 1962 Topps Bucks collection, sold in penny packs and modeled to look like currency, replacing the President at the center of the bill with one of 96 players. Individual packs can be found here and there, but an offering of 119 of the 120 packs, along with the original box? Yeah, that's special. Steve Hart of Baseball Card Exchange has examined the contents and given his approval, sealing the NM to NM/MT packs in the box. A notation on the bottom of the box indicates it was obtained in 1966 and has been tucked away for over a half century. If there's another out there like this one, we certainly don't know about it.
