For the early part of the 20th century, the Philadelphia-based weekly publication "Sporting Life" was the primary source for information on the diamond, touted as "The paper that made baseball popular." In 1911, they released a six-card cabinet set that featured five Hall of Famers and a sixth (Hal Chase) who very well might have made it there as well if not for his alleged involvement in gambling. Far more scarce than the Turkey Red counterpart which bears a striking resemblance, examples like this Honus Wagner card very seldom surface with PSA having graded only 11 total examples. Because a T3 cabinet card of Honus Wagner was never issued, the M110 Wagner is one of the most desirable Wagner cards of that era. This example is graded by PSA at FAIR 1.5, with lightly rounded corners and some discoloration and paper loss along the perimeter. A substantial specimen for any vintage collector.
