Renowned Grateful Dead artist Stanley Mouse is perhaps best remembered as the co-creator of the band's iconic skull and roses imagery, found on concert posters and album covers going back to the 1960s. He was commissioned to create the cover artwork for Sandy Troy's 1991 book "One More Saturday Night" which is the title of a song written by Bob Weir which first appeared on the Grateful Dead's "Europe '72" album. The offered item is a three dimensional recreation of that artwork, done by Illusive Originals artist Mario Chiodo with materials and artwork supplied by Mouse. The bust measures 28" tall and 24" wide and has a depth of 15" and weighs approximately 25 pounds. The material is a cold-cast resin, hand painted in 16 colors. The extended pinky finger has been broken off but can probably be recreated and repaired by a skilled artist. A tremendously scarce item befitting of any top-notch Grateful Dead memorabilia collection.
