Photos of amateur baseball teams from the late 19th and early 20th century pop up from time to time, but we've never seen one quite as remarkable as this. Presented is the
1914 “Kimball System” squad. The 12 players and two coaches are posed with several pieces of equipment and Kimball pennants strategically placed, a common practice with photos of the time period. “The Marion Studio 1914” photography stamp is placed in the lower right corner of the approximately 15 1/8" x 18 3/8" sepia photo, handsomely framed to an overall size of approximately 26" x 26 1/2." In all, one of the earliest 20th-century pieces related to baseball that we've ever offered.
