Most collectors are of the opinion that a card receiving a half-grade assessment is not truly in the center of two grades but much closer to the higher grade. That makes a big difference when it comes to an iconic issue like this 1956 Topps Mickey Mantle card, possessing most if not all of the features of a NM specimen but just not graded as such. While centered just a tad toward the horizontal left side, the sharpness of the central image and keen-edged corners can stack up against any in a PSA 7 holder, and you might just be able to get it at a much better value.
