Returning from a stint in the United States Armed Forces, big Don Newcombe takes the hill once again on this 1954 Bowman card, so sharp around the perimeter with a brightly pigmented central image that it easily reached the NM/MT classification. Newcombe shook off the rust in 1954 to post a combined 47-12 record in 1955 and 1956.
