While the Topps company has been the dominant force in baseball trading cards for well over 60 years, the Bowman company did produce a few iconic cards in their eight years as an independent. One card that will always stand the test of time is the 1953 Bowman Color example of Pee Wee Reese, captured hovering above a sliding baserunner in mid-air. The offered example bears the grade of PSA 5.5, just barely missing the mark of EX/MT 6 due to a slight centering variance on the canvas. The image is crisp and beautifully focused, enhanced by an ample layer of original factory gloss. A solid mid-grade example of a true hobby favorite!
