Nobody ever handed Ted Williams his achievements on a silver platter. Oops, I stand corrected. This Garrard and Co. of London, England silver platter was presented to "The Splendid Splinter" with his list of achievements from the 1941 season, leading the league in batting average, home runs, runs batted in, on base percentage and slugging percentage. The otherwise anonymous piece as a circumference at the rim of about 11 1/2" and shows typical tarnishing from age. The Gerrard & Co. stamp and other notations appear on the bottom.
