Originating from the collection of Sy Berger, known as "The father of the bubble gum card," the featured piece of baseball card history is the actual artwork used to produce card #50 Chuck Dressen in the 1953 Topps series. The piece measures 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" and is identical to what you're used to seeing on his 1953 Topps card, save for the larger size, absence of added text and production related glue marks and a written "Dressen" on the otherwise blank reverse. One of the most celebrated Topps sets on record for its innovative design, it's the only 1950s Topps set to utilize original paintings in the production of their baseball card product.
