One of the most successful long ball hitters in baseball history never to win a home run crown, Rafael Palmeiro routinely launched between 30-50 home runs per season over his 20 year career. Usually finishing in the top five in homers but never taking the crown, it's surprising to learn that his 569 lifetime bombs rank him #13 all-time, while his 3,020 lifetime hits place him 29th overall. The featured Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick was used by Palmeiro during the 2001 season, specifically on September 22nd when he hit his 44th of the year and career shot #444, as confirmed by the black marker autograph and inscription next to the barrel stamping. With a length of 33 3/4" and a weight of 31.6 ounces, the bat displays tremendous use with ball and blue transfer marks as well as red and black rack marks all over the barrel. A light coat of remaining pine tar is present. An outstanding example of a Rafael Palmeiro gamer. LOA from John Taube - PSA/DNA with a grade of GU 10 and LOA from Rafael Palmeiro.
