Say what you want about Sammy Sosa, but one thing is without dispute; he made the ball go over the fence ... a lot! When he began his career, only Babe Ruth and Roger Maris had touched the 60 homer mark in a season. Sosa passed them both and did it three times! Offered is a game-used black Rawlings bat put into service by noted slugger Sammy Sosa during the 1999 season when he pounded 63 dingers. The bat has a length of 34" and a weight of 33 oz. and shows several areas of paint transfer where he made contact. Taped several inches up the handle with markings on the knob to indicate use in the 1999 season. LOA from John Taube - PSA/DNA with a grade of GU 8. Please note the bat is a 1999 bat and it was listed in the catalog erroneously as a 1991.
