After a successful stint in the International League, Jackie Robinson came to Brooklyn and broke baseball's long-standing color barrier. With death threats and hate-mongering greeting Robinson in virtually every city the Dodgers visited, Jackie still posted a .297 average with 12 home runs and a league-leading 29 base steals, earning Rookie of the Year honors. Robinson looks focused in this original photograph from that time period, the first black man to don a major league uniform. From a historical standpoint, this is one of the most enticing snapshots you can find. Measures 5 x 7 with LOA from PSA/DNA.
