One of the rarest and most coveted variations of any modern day card, a small amount of 1990 Topps Frank Thomas rookie cards made their way past the quality control department at Topps and were released to the public carrying a blank nameplate. There's no telling exactly how many of these "error" cards actually got into the hands of the general public (some have speculated the number to be around 500 though many believe it to be considerably lower), but with over 12,000 of the correct card graded by PSA and only about 200 "no names" on record, it can't be very many. And it's been a few years since one was offered at this advanced grade of PSA 9, one of only 19 with just one graded higher. Excellent centering with only slight imperfections along the colored edges and endpoints account for the high grade. A true rarity, its allure is only magnified by the fact that it's also the rookie card of a Hall of Famer and member of the illustrious 500 home run club.
