While Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays were making their centerfield debuts in different boroughs of "The Big Apple," veteran Duke Snider was already an established star in Brooklyn. Here's "The Duke of Flatbush" on a fantastic horizontal specimen from the 1951 Bowman set that boasts plenty of appeal for the grade. The obverse is bold and displays a wide-angle image of the celebrated hero, with a strong white border and high-end NM/MT endpoints. Sensational!
