Here's a pair of high-grade complete sets of 1959 Fleer Indian cards, 80 in each, for a total of 160 pasteboards. The issue is similar in design and composition to the cherished Three Stooges and Ted Williams sets issued by Fleer in the same year. The issue breaks down into six series depicting the dress, activities, and other customs of the Plains Indians (Sitting Bull, Chief Joseph, Sacajawea, etc.), Woodland Indians (Osceola, Chief Halftown, etc.), Northwest Indians, Southwest Indians (Geronimo, Cochise, etc.), Pacific Coast and Alaskan Indians. Both sets offer many NM/MT cards as well as others that are equally nice but with centering variances, with card #1 Sitting Bull appearing NM/MT (OC) in both sets. An excellent acquisition for the vintage non-sport enthusiast.
