Offered in its original frame from 1957, this is original oil painting features Billy Vessels, winner of the 1952 Heisman Trophy award. Vessels was selected by the Colts with the first pick of the 1953 NFL draft, but opted to play for the Edmonton Eskimos before joining the Colts in 1956 in what would prove to be his only NFL season. Framed at approximately 18" x 20" with a visible display area of about 12" x 16", this original oil painting once hung in the front office of the Colts organization and comes to the hobby as part of the personal collection of secretary Lillian Henry. A truly unique piece of memorabilia, perfect for the living room of any dedicated Colts enthusiast.
