A fresh, pleasing example of Bert Whaling from the popular 1915 Cracker Jack issue is up for grabs here, graded by SGC at the 92 NM/MT+ 8.5 level. This one shows an above-grade perimeter with clean, white borders and a deeply saturated backdrop, with no signs of fading over the last century. Centering favors the upper right very slightly, and if it were a bit more accurate, this one would likely be in a higher-grade holder. To date, just a single example has graded higher.
